Members and allies of the Concord area LGBTQ community with gather on Saturday for the second annual Pride Concord event.
Organizer Alison Murphy says it’s a way to celebrate the region’s LGBTQ community.
“Sometimes it feels isolating to live in a small town and maybe feel like you are the only queer person in town, so to bring everybody together to remind us that we are not the only one is important,” says Murphy. “But then also to show how much support there is and how much everybody cares about this community being supported, and being welcomed in Concord.”
Pride Concord runs from 2 to 6pm on the New Hampshire Statehouse lawn, and will feature family-friendly drag performances, as well as a concert by the New Hampshire Gay Men’s Chorus.
