Some New Hampshire state troopers are complaining about an order stating the state will not cover dry cleaning costs to shirts and blouses if the shirts can be laundered.
The Portsmouth Herald reports the Members of the New Hampshire Troopers Association have filed a complaint with the New Hampshire Public Employee Labor Relations Board saying the ban is an unfair labor practice and breaches their contract. The troopers' complaint includes language from their contract saying the state will pay cleaning costs for uniforms and civilian clothing worn while on duty.
A hearing is scheduled for June 24 in Concord.
Attorneys for the trooper's union and the state did not return messages seeking comment.
