Governor Maggie Hassan is urging New Hampshire residents to avoid the Boston area.
Hassan released the message via Twitter this morning.
"NH emergency management and law enforcement officials are on alert and are closely monitoring the situation in the Boston area," she said.
"This is a rapidly changing situation. NH residents should avoid the Boston area if at all possible, heed direction of local law enforcement," she added.
