New Website Wants To Tackle Your Health Law Questions

New Hampshire consumers looking for information about the health law can now turn to a local website.

CoveringNewHampshire.org bills itself as the gateway for the health insurance marketplace. Browsers can learn about the law, use an online calculator to see if they qualify for tax credits, and window-shop the 11 different insurance plans Anthem is offering through the Affordable Care Act.

“If you are a New Hampshire resident and are looking to purchase health insurance for you or your family, or just want to learn more about the Health Insurance Marketplace in our state, CoveringNewHampshire.org is a great asset,” says Mike Degnan, executive director for the New Hampshire Health Plan, which is currently managing the site’s operations.

There’s also a list of agencies around the state that can provide in-person assistance.

The website is getting a late start after GOP lawmakers in the state blocked a federal grant.
