Court proceedings wrapped up recently in the state’s only Capital Punishment case, meanwhile a new Governor and Legislature could re-examine our death penalty statute. We’ll find out how Granite Staters on both sides of this argument might be gearing up for another look at death sentencing.

- Charles Putnam - Co-Director of Justiceworks, a research institute at the University of New Hampshire, and Clinical Associate Professor of Justice Studies at the University of New Hampshire. He served on the Commission to Study the Death Penalty and in 2010 voted with the majority in favor of retaining New Hampshire’s death penalty.
- Albert (Buzz) Scherr - Professor of Law and Chair of the International Criminal Law and Justice Programs at the UNH School of Law, where he also directs the Trial Advocacy Program. He opposes the death penalty.

- Arnie Alpert - A member of the board of the NH Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty and chairs the coalition’s Legislative Committee. His grandfather, Charlie Alpert, was murdered in the hardware store he owned when Arnie was an eleven-years old.
- Robert Charron -Father of Jeremy Charron, an Epsom Police Officer killed in the line of duty in 1997. Robert Charron served on the Death Penalty Commission, which narrowly voted in 2010 in favor of retaining New Hampshire’s death penalty.
