Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke will discuss federal funds for state-level conservation efforts at an event at the Bass Pro Shop in Hooksett Tuesday.
The money helps pay for things like salaries for state wildlife staff. New Hampshire Fish and Game Executive Director Glenn Normandeau said he doesn't expect any major announcement at the event.
Instead, more eyes will likely be on Zinke on Wednesday, when he'll tour Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument in Maine. It's one of the many federally protected sites he's reviewing after an executive order from President Trump earlier this Spring. His review will look at how the national monument designation impacts the local economy and recreation in the area.
