How Has The Opioid Crisis Changed Prescribing Practices?

A recent studyfound that New Hampshire reduced opioid prescriptions by 15% last year, the largest drop in the country.  How have physicians changed how they prescribe opiods in acute, and chronic care settings?

  • Dr. Richard Barth - Professor of Surgery at Dartmouth's Geisel School of Medicine and Chief of the Section of General Surgery at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. He conducted a study about the use of opioids for acute care after surgery.
