Fiorina Files for N.H. Primary, Says Politics is 'Personal'

Allegra Boverman for NHPR
Carly Fiorina speaks with NHPR's Casey McDermott at the N.H. Statehouse on Thursday

Carly Fiorina became the fourth major presidential candidate to file for the 2016 New Hampshire primary when she stopped by the Secretary of State’s office early Thursday afternoon.

Fiorina says while she's been out campaigning in the state, she's noticed a disconnect between what members of the media ask her compared to what voters want to know.

"I think all politics is personal. I think people make personal decisions based upon what's going on in their lives, and there's a lot going on in American's lives right now that is disquieting to them. It's why I'm running for President, and it's why I'm so grateful for the support I'm receiving in New Hampshire"

Fiorina will campaign in the state through Saturday with stops in Newport, Manchester, Milford, Dover, Franklin, Bedford, and Londonderry.
