John Broderick has spoken at more than 80 schools and driven some 46,000 miles as co-chair of the Campaign to Change Direction NH.
He urges teens to know the five signsof mental illness. He shares his family's personal story—and offers assurance that help is available. Broderick, a former chief justice of the New Hampshire Supreme Court, is senior director of public affairs for Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.
"If the people of New Hampshire were with me on the mornings I go to school, they would realize that we have a lot of kids who are suffering with emotional problems," he says.
