Republican Chris Christie says New Hampshire voters should consider his experience and decisiveness as governor in choosing the next commander in chief.
The New Jersey Governor concluded a two day campaign trip to New Hampshire Sunday afternoon at a house party in Bedford. He said the attacks in Paris serve as a reminder of the importance of national security, which he said would be his first priority in office.
While Christie has called for a halt to the resettlement of Syrian refugees, he said that doesn't mean he's not concerned about the plight of Syrians fleeing their country's civil war.
"So let's set up a no-fly zone in Syria and a safe zone there," Christie said. "Let them stay in their country and protect them with our allies there. There is no reason when the FBI director tells us that the FBI cannot guarantee the safety of the American people with any of these refugees that we should let these refugees in."
On Saturday Christie held town hall style events in Stratham and Windham. He's scheduled to return to the state next week for an event in Loudon.
