Some 550 workers at Car Component Technologies in Bedford and Merrimack got some unexpected news Wednesday.

Without warning, they were told they no longer had jobs.

The company's owners said they are filing for bankruptcy.

Since the news hit, Department of Employment Security Commissioner Richard Brothers has been scrambling to make sure those workers get what they are entitled to.

He spoke to NHPR's Mark Bevis.
