This week marks the birthday of the man who supposedly inspired the most famous American icon. Sam Wilson spent most of his childhood in Mason, New Hampshire before heading off to New York and cementing his place in history. We'll look at how he became "Uncle Sam" and how the character has symbolized the United States over the years.
