Supreme Court Shake Up
By Laura Knoy on Thursday, September 8, 2005.
With the death of William Rehnquist, John Roberts is being put forth by President Bush as his choice for the new Chief Justice of the United States. This move leaves open a second nominee to replace the recently departed Sandra Day O'Connor. We'll look at how politics and history will play into the nomination process and how it will effect the future makeup of the Supreme Court. Laura's guests are Buzz Scherr, Professor of Law at Franklin Pierce Law Center and Jennifer Donahue, Senior Advisor for Political Affairs at St. Anselm's Institute of Politics.
