Submit photos to be used in the NHPR.org header

Calling all artists...

New Hampshire Public Radio is seeking artists to donate one or more digital images to be used in the header of our award winning web site.

NHPR.org uses photographs in its header (take this page, for example) to highlight New Hampshire's rich cultural heritage. There are at least 7 images in the queue at anytime. When a web user visits NHPR.org, they will see one of the 7 images. Every time a visitor goes to a new page on our site, they are shown a new image. Clicking on the header image itself brings one to a page that displays all of the current images, as well as archived ones, along with artist information, and clickable links to the artists' web sites.

In 2003, 2005 and 2006 NHPR.org won the National Murrow Award for best Small Market Radio Station web site. One of the reasons given by the judges was the aesthetic feel of the site. NHPR.org averages more than 15,000 visitors a week from around the world. NHPR's site is recognized around the country as a trend-setter and leader in Public Broadcasting.

Design Themes and Considerations
In the past year, the photos have been exclusively landscapes, but we are looking to expand upon the range of artistic styles, colors, textures and subjects that highlight the wealth of imagery produced by New Hampshire artists.

Maintenance
All photos and artist contact information are maintained in an archive that is accessible to anyone visiting NHPR's web site.

The images donated remain the property of the photographer/artist, with permission given to NHPR for use.

Timeline
This is an ongoing project, with new photos being added to the queue when available.
