James Whitmore

Actor James Whitmore got his acting break in 1947 while working with the Peterborough Players. In the 50 years since then, he's continued to return to Peterborough repeatedly. He is best known for his one-man shows, his roles in films like Planet of the Apes and The Shawshank Redemption. James Whitmore appears in Inherit the Wind with the Peterborough Players July 13-July 31.
