Businessman Jaymie Durnan of Jaffrey served in Washington as Special Assistant to Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld and Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz. He enjoyed unusually close proximity to both men as plans for the the Iraq War got underway.
