Every summer, along with the tourists, a bunch of the nation's best college baseball players make a trip in an effort to launch their professional baseball careers. They come to play in the Cape Cod Baseball League - a league that has come to be a key proving ground for baseball talent. The story of one season on the Cape is told in Jim Collins' book The Last Best League.
