Report Says State Must Act to Protect Health System
By Jon Greenberg on Monday, March 7, 2005.
A report on the state's health care system says current trends are creating a potentially destructive situation. The authors, a group called the Citizens Roundtable, highlight two factors – a decline in employer-based insurance and rising health care costs. They warn that left unchecked, these trends could lead to a loss of the providers who treat people across the state. Physicians, business people, lawmakers, and many others helped write the report. New Hampshire Public Radio's Jon Greenberg has more.
