Custody and the Courts

This year several bills are set to be presented to the New Hampshire Legislature that reexamine the way the courts look at parenting and custody. One bill looks to do away with the word "custody" with the phrase "parental rights and responsibility" while another gives all parents who divorce the "presumption" of shared parenting responsibilities. We'll take a look at how our courts are changing in its views of divorce, custody and parenting. Laura's guests are Dan Wise, Communications Director for the New Hampshire Bar

Honey Hastings, Attorney and mediator working in Amherst and Vice Chair on the Task Force on Family Law and Representative David Bickford, 5-term New Hampshire Representative, Member of the House Committee on Children and Family Law and sponsor of HB529 and HB640 both dealing with custody and the courts..
