On the anniversary of Vermont's statehood, we look at what defines a true Vermonter. Is it geography, politics or a God-given birthright? We're grappling with the Green Mountain Mentality. Laura's guest for the hour is Kevin Graffagnino, Director of the Vermont Historical Society. Previously he was the Library Director of the Wisconsin Historical Society and Executive Director of the Kentucky Historical Society. He is also the author of several books and papers on Vermont history and library-related topics. We'll also hear from Thomas Naylor, Professor Emeritus of Economics at Duke University and co-founder of ?The Second Vermont Republic? and author, whose work includes "Affluenza", "The Search for Meaning" and ?The Vermont Manifesto?, Eric Davis, Political Science Professor at Middlebury College in Vermont, and Jan Albers, Historian and Author of "Hands on the Land: A History of the Vermont Landscape".
