Department of Safety Lacks Spokesperson

For the past year, the Department of Safety has lacked a public information officer, or spokesperson.

That absense has worsened a long standing problem between one of the state's largest departments....and the press.

Whether it's about winter driving conditions or about state policing policies, many members of the media say the department does little to inform the public.

NHPR's Dan Gorenstein reports.
