While Organic foods are enjoying a surge in popularity in grocery stores, the life of the small organic farmer is still a tough row to sough. A new book, Harvest, follows the struggles of Jennifer Megyesi and Kyle Jones at their Fat Rooster Farm. Writer Nicola Smith and Photographer Geoff Hansen capture the endless stream of chores on the farm from raising and slaughtering animals, to harvesting squash blossoms, from putting washed lettuce in the washing machine spin cycle, to bartering for the equipment they need to keep the farm running.
