The Robbins Cinquefoil grows in the harshest regions of the White Mountains. The tiny flower was nearly driven out of existence by the footsteps of passing hikers. Federal biologist Diane Lynch says a cooperative program between the government and the Appalachian Mountain club has brought the flower back from the brink.
