A new Ken Burns documentary tells the story of Jack Johnson, the first black Heavyweight boxing champion of the world. Jack Johnson rose to wealth and stardom at a time when African Americans were at their lowest point since slavery. Burns tells the story of a man who refused to play by the rules and his battles both inside the ring and outside of it as he tried to become truly free in the white dominated world of his time. Laura's guest is Ken Burns, documentary film maker and Producer of "Unforgivable Blackness: The Rise and Fall of Jack Johnson"
