Congressman Jeb Bradley has been elected to a second term in New Hampshire's First District.

He beat Democrat Justin Nadeau by a wide margin.

New Hampshire Public Radio's David Darman has more.

Congressman Bradley told about 40 supporters that he was honored to serve the people of the First District.

And he said he's heading back to Washington to continue working on issues that have been important to him.
well, i look forward to going back and to work on the priorities that i've worked on for the last 3 years, a strong national defense and we have to make sure that our troops have the resources to prevail in the war on terrorism....

Bradley also says he's looking to broaden the tax cuts that went into effect under President Bush.
i think that we do need to continue with a stimulus package which i have voted to make permanent parts of the tax cut like the child credit and the marriage penalty relief and i think that's important so that families and businesses can continue to grow.

Bradley said he had a lot of respect for his opponent, Democrat Justin Nadeau.

Meanwhile, Nadeau told his supporters he won't let his defeat drive him out of New Hampshire politics.

But Nadeau says he's not sure what his future holds.
i'll sit back and see what happens and perhaps, like i said in my speech always give em a nice smile and great big wave goodbye because its important if you're coming back.

Nadeau's run for Congress was his first foray into politics.

Congressman Bradley has had a long political career.
