Film Director Michael Wadleigh

By John Walters on Wednesday, October 6, 2004.

When the Woodstock Music Festival was held in 1969, nobody expected a film documenting the event to win an Oscar. The three-hour film won the Oscar for Best Documentary. Host John Walters talks with Director Michael Wadleigh, who now lives in Dover, about the legacy of the film and his work in media since Woodstock.

I may be the only person who does not remember Woodstock .. had NO clue who Michael Wadleigh was when he walked into the film vaults to re edit for the 25th Anniv. edition .. but then . .being a temp at the time .. I went to work for Michael . we became friends and have remained so since then . he came to visit me in Marblehead when my Mom died and took me all over taking photos (he is a cameraman:) . so I have a wonderful scrapbook of my hometown .. Michael showed up at my door in So. Ca. about two months ago .. had NO clue he was going to show up .. You can see how I looked in URL above :( . .LOL ..
