Susan Edsall and her sister took it upon themselves to direct the course of their father's physical therapy after a stroke left him incapacitated. After only a few months of intensive physical and speech therapy, and against the known odds, Susan's father was able to once take the controls of the antique planes he so loved. Susan Edsall, who lives in Vernish, Vermont, has written about her experience bringing her dad back to health, and her family's determination to enable his complete recovery in the face of a skeptical medical community. Her book is titled Into the Blue.
