Kids and plastic--debit cards, credit cards,and now ‘allowance’ cards for kids as young as thirteen. We’ll look at ways kids can spend money in our increasingly cashless culture. While many feel credit card companies shouldn’t target young people, others say that’s not the problem. It’s lack of education about how to manage money. Laura talks with Ed Mierszwinski, a consumer advocate for NH Public Interest Research Group (NHPIRG) www.pirg.org, and Dara Dugay, the Jumpstart Coalition's executive director (www.jumpstart.org).
