Historic preservationists are fighting a battle in Milford.

The town's only granite house, one of a handful in the state, faces an uncertain future.

It stands in the way of a housing development for the elderly.

Jim Garvin is New Hampshire's architectural historian.

He described the house to NHPR's Mark Bevis.
