Imelda Murphy, of Nashua, has been collecting the stories, using photos and audio tapes, of Irish and Irish-American laborers working on the "Big Dig" in Boston. She was first intrigued by the "Big Dig" when she moved to Boston from Dublin a few years ago, and got in touch with her subjects through an Irish-American publication in the city.
