Starring "New Hampshire"
By Trish Anderton on Friday, June 18, 2004.
The Granite State has provided the setting for a number of silver screen sensations. The sanctimonious Squam Lake was backdrop for "On Golden Pond" while the sometimes mysterious Bretton Woods provided the landscape for the horror hit "The Shining". While other celluloid favorites like Peyton Place and Affliction have give the Granite State a more supporting role showcasing the small town living, harshness and at times prudishness of its people. Today on the Exchange we look at the role New Hampshire has played in the arc of Hollywood history. Trish's guests are Garen Daly, a film reviewer living in Gilmanton and artistic director of the Dedham Community Theatre in Dedham, Massachusetts and TBA.
