As a young man in Atlanta, UNH professor Roger Brown spent much of his teens and twenties tracking down and recording blues artists that had long been forgotten by the 1960?s. Some of his field recordings were later released. He's no longer doing field work, but his passion for gut-bucket blues continues. He teaches a course on the blues and gives talks in the community about the music. We take a dip into the blues pool, including sampling some of Roger's recordings.
