Hancock resident Sy Montgomery is best known for her books about wildlife and travels to the far corners of the world. Along the way, she has adapted some of her research for a younger audience with Encantado: Pink Dolphin of the Amazon and The Man-Eating Tigers of Sundarbans. She has also written The Snake Scientist and The Tarantula Scientist- which is just out this month- for Houghton Mifflin’s Scientists in the Field Series.
Sy will be showing slides and speaking about The Tarantula Scientist at the Harris Center in Hancock this Sunday the 7th at 3:00 pm.
