Every four years, presidential hopefuls start weighing in on the nation's economy. This year, as the economy lagged, the democratic candidates had plenty of ammunition. But recent reports show things are looking up. Still, voters in New Hampshire say the economy is the top issue for them. Our guests take a closer look at what the candidates are saying on the stump and how their economic policies differ. We'll find out what these proposals would mean in the real world. Laura is joined by Dean Spiliotes, visiting scholar at the Institute for Politics at St. Anselm College and Matt Slaughter, Associate Professor of Business Administration at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. We'll also hear from Andy Smith, director of the University of New Hampshire Survey Center.
