Governor Benson has proposed a constitutional amendment to cap state spending in New Hampshire, but opponents say it's unnecessary because the Granite State already has a low tax burden and also holds lawmakers accountable every two years. We'll take a closer look at what this proposal will mean for legislators and what chance it has of passing the House and Senate later this year. Laura's guests are Representative Ken Weyler from Kingston, Vice-Chair of the House Finance Committee and Representative Terie Norelli from Portsmouth. We'll also hear from Wendell Packard, Governor Benson's Press Secretary, and Doug Hall, Co-Executive Director of the NH Center for Public Policy Studies.
