Democratic Presidential candidate John Edwards supplied free hot dogs today on the State House Lawn.
He also conducted a town hall meeting there.

People lined up politely in the day?s sunshine to get a free hot dog.
Campaign staff rewarded their patience, and Senator Edwards arrived 20 minutes later.
He wasted little time before criticizing President Bush.

Edwards repeated themes he has repeated often shared on the campaign trail.
He provided a plan to improve the nation?s sagging job market.

Edwards also criticized President Bush for his handling of public schools.
He accused Bush of under funding his own program, ?No Child Left Behind?.
And Edwards promised to make sure teachers got better treatment.

On health care, Edwards promised to make insurance universal for all children.

He said President Bush wasn?t interested in spending the time necessary to bring about peace.

The Concord lunch meeting was the first Edwards has held since he officially announced his candidacy in North Carolina on Tuesday.
