New Research on Maine's Shorebirds

Research into the lives of seabirds off the Maine coast is yielding some interesting findings.

Wildlife biologists studying terns, puffins and other species have discovered that the birds live longer - and travel farther - than previously thought.

Maine Public Radio's Matthew Algeo recently accompanied researchers on a trip to a small island off the Maine coast.

He prepared this report.
