Perkins Bass was Congressman from 1955 to 1963, representing New Hampshire's Second District. His family has been active in Republican politics for more than 150 years. His grandfather was on Abraham Lincoln's staff. His father Robert was Governor of New Hampshire from 1911 to 1913. His son Charles is currently the Second District's representative in Congress. Perkins Bass lives in Peterborough. He talks about his own political career and his family's involvement in politics.
