Same Sex Marriage
By Laura Knoy on Tuesday, July 15, 2003.
Canada's recent move to make same-sex marriage legal has many state-side wondering if the U.S. will follow suit. The Supreme Court's ruling against the Texas sodomy law, and two legal cases still pending in New Jersey and Massachusetts could point in that direction. Though Vermont allows civil unions, they're not recognized beyond that state's boundaries. We'll find out how what's happening to the north, south and west of the Granite State may play out in New Hampshire. Our guests are Beth McGuin with the New Hampshire Freedom to Marry Coalition. and Karen Testerman, executive director of Cornerstone Policy Research.
