Glenn Shwaery is director of the Non-Lethal Technology Innovation Center at the University of New Hampshire. NTIC is doing research on ways to subdue people, without causing injury or death. Today, it?s tear gas and rubber bullets. Tomorrow, it might be force fields, synthetic spider webs, or super-slippery goop.
