Concord resident Bob Tewksbury spent thirteen years playing major league baseball, most prominently with the St. Louis Cardinals in the early 1990s. He reflects on his career in the majors: the challenges of maintaining a home and family in New Hampshire, while his job took him out of town and on the road; the difficult decision to hang up his glove after the 1998 season; and how the game has changed as players? salaries climbed into seven digits. Since his retirement, Tewksbury has been active in youth activities like the Boys? and Girls? Club and the Concord American Little League
