People with disabilities in Maine now have increased access to hunting, fishing and trapping. Maine assesses the hunters' disabilities and provides them special permits. The state also grants them rights prohibited to other hunters. For example, some can hunt from cars. Others get to use unconventional weapons. Ernest Willey of West Newfield is one of the active players in developing the new law. He's also a quadriplegic. Maine Public Radio's Patty Wight recently accompanied Willey on a deer hunting trip. She filed this report.
