Gardner: We're Ready for Recount

The race for the U.S. Senate between Republican John Sununu and Democrat Jeanne Shaheen is expected to go down to the wire. That?s fueling speculation about a possible statewide recount. That, of course, raises the spectre of the problems Florida suffered during the 2000 presidential election. New Hampshire Secretary of State William Gardner estimates a recount would take a week to ten days. He?s hoping it won?t be necessary, but if it is, he says the state is ready.
