All this week NHPR is bringing listeners stump speeches from the five leading candidates running for governor in the September 10th primary.

The candidates spoke last week at a Laconia Chamber of Commerce forum.

Forum organizers gave each candidate twenty minutes to tell voters why he or she should be governor.

Today we hear from former U.S. and state senator Gordon Humphrey, a Republican from Chichester.
