?Powerful as Truth? is a new documentary about the life of William Loeb, publisher of the Manchester Union-Leader. Loeb used his paper as a pulpit to advance his political views: conservative, anti-communist, and anti-tax; and for three decades was arguably the most powerful figure in the state. John Gfroerer directed and produced the documentary; he talks about why he made the film, and about Loeb himself. ?Powerful as Truth? will premiere March 9th at 7pm at the Capitol Center for the Arts in Concord.
