Reviving a Colonial-era Newspaper

By John Walters on Monday, July 1, 2002.

Steven Fowle is editor of the New Hampshire Gazette, a bi-weekly paper in Portsmouth. He's a distant relative of Daniel Fowle, who founded the paper back in 1756. Steven says the Gazette is the oldest newspaper in America and he's continuing his ancestor's tradition of comforting the afflicted and afflicting the comfortable. www.nhgazette.com
