DES Applauds EPA's CO2 Ruling
By Mark Bevis on Tuesday, December 8, 2009.
Delegates from around the world are meeting in Copenhagen to discuss what can be done about the threat of climate change. But here in the states, the Environmental Protection Agency on Monday announced a ruling that could have far greater impacts than anything that comes out of the Copenhagen Conference. EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson has ruled that carbon dioxide is a damgerous pollutant. Rebecca Ohler, Climate and Energy Program Manager at New Hampshire's Department of Environmental Services tells NHPR's Mark Bevis that though the announcement was expected, it was applauded.
