The Death of Language sounds interesting!
A professor of mine once mentioned a study that said that over the course of Walter Cronkite's career, his vocabulary on year got smaller and smaller to accommodate a less verbose american public.
Also! Perhaps it's less monumental, but what about a segment on the New Hampshire Surf culture?
I'm fascinated by this idea. Send me an email - jnathan@nhpr.org - so we can chat about surfing off the icy NH shore.
And tune in on Tues at 12:30 to hear about the Death of Language. I'm curious about that study too. Tell me more!
"Did Christianity Cause the Economic Downturn," "Build Your Own Biofuel Plant," and "The Death of Language"? Those peaked my interest.
Death of Language is scheduled for this Tues at 12:30. and Christianity & the Economic Downturn is scheduled for Monday 11/30 at Noon. Hope you can tune in!
that is what i would like to hear about. that is all.
