Conway Area Humane Society
By Deborah Schachter on Saturday, November 7, 2009.
The Conway Area Humane Society’s Lifelong Friends Program matches seniors with appropriate pets. Frank Meserve got his dog, Molly, through that program. ![]() I’ve had her now for more than a year. I lost my wife a while back to cancer of the lung. My doctor told me to get myself a dog, and that was after losing my wife. I went in to get her and she came out on her leash to me. She came out wagging her tail, she wanted me, so I figured it had to be right. They said that she was 11 years old when I picker up, but it was one of those situations where nobody wanted her, so they took her up to the pound. So I was just the lucky one. When I take her for a walk, she gets to know everybody. Every time these ladies, when she sees one of them, she starts barking. And they have to come up and speak to her. So she’s well liked here. She just just likes everybody; she’s got a good disposition. She’s just a good companion. ![]() ![]() comments
