Transportation Commissioner George Campbell
By Laura Knoy on Tuesday, September 29, 2009.
We’ll talk about New Hampshire’s roads, rails and bridges with the man who oversees it all in the state. We’ll look at some of the state’s transportation priorities, the possibilities and challenges of expanding rail in the state and where the dollars from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act are going. why not take over railbed of Pan-AM thru the courts? How much longer must we wait for rail transportation?
I am quite disappointed to hear NH will not apply for the 300 million to upgrade our rail infrastructure. The New Hampshire Rail Transit Authority worked very hard to raise $100,000 in private funds just to complete an application. To now take that completed application and not even submit it to the Fedral Transit Administration just seems foolish! What harm can it do?
